Diagrammatic Drills

ECO prints of vector drawings

2007

Libraries

c-prints
24" x 20"
2005

Libraries illustrates differently arranged stacks of anonymous books. Unlike the democratic, alphanumeric Dewey Decimal System of classification, Libraries presents sculptural modes of organization that employ size, symmetry, balance, and colour. Acquiring knowledge becomes a continual act of building and rebuilding.

Domestic Subversions

lightjet prints
5' x 4'
2004

The series explores residential interior space and challenges conventional notions of inhabiting. Familiar objects are placed in disruptive positions, with each room housing the performance of Duchampian gestures. The photographs materialize as mundane manifestos, playing with notions of functionality, comfort, and domestic work.
